Our Story
JC and Mike Mason are the creators and founders of Steadfast Trail Farm and its LLC offshoot of skincare and pampering products, The Pink Hippie.
Their dream to start a farm and homestead began in 2008, but it wasn’t until 2017 that this desire began its humble journey. After purchasing a farm in Spotsylvania, Virginia, JC began opening up their stables for equine therapy for local children who had experienced trauma. JC had previously run her own music ministry, Psalm 108 Ministries, but her passion for the farm’s potential impact on the community through this equine ministry prompted her to pivot. Since then, Steadfast Trail Farm has grown to include 9 therapy horses, 11 goats, 10 chickens, and a garden!
Throughout this process, JC has been developing a line of products to help support the ministry of the farm and provide families with natural personal skincare options free from harmful chemicals. From handcrafted soaps that use the goat milk and flowers from the farm, to hand poured candles in homemade concrete vessels, each product from the farm is integral in supporting the work that happens on it. JC’s deep convictions regarding keeping her products pure, natural, and safe, has led to much success in her business.
In 2022, the prolific sales of soap, bath bombs, body and lip butters turned a profit, which necessitated the creation of The Pink Hippie, LLC. A portion of the proceeds, from The Pink Hippie, are directly donated to Steadfast Trail Farm. When you buy these products, you are not only supporting the founders’ dreams, but also the dreams of the families in this community. These products allow at-risk children to receive care and therapy free of charge.
